COPD
COPD: The Basics
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, is a chronic lung disorder that hampers normal breathing. It largely includes two conditions: emphysema and chronic bronchitis. COPD damages the air sacs and bronchial tubes in your lungs, leading to a blockage in the airflow. This results in difficulty in breathing, frequent coughing, shortness of breath, and other respiratory issues. Although it's incurable, proper treatment and lifestyle modifications can slow its progression.
